San Ramon receives care through Kalingang Koop medical mission

Kalingang Koop: Serbisyong Medikal tungo sa Masiglang Pangangatawan provides free medical services and promote greater awareness of personal health and well-being in the Cooperative's partner communities.

As part of its commitment to social development and community welfare, the AFP Finance Center Multi-Purpose Cooperative (AFPFC MPC) conducted a medical mission for persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) at the San Ramon Prison and Penal Farm (SRPPF) on August 5, 2026. Kalingang Koop: Serbisyong Medikal tungo sa Masiglang Pangangatawan is the Cooperative’s healthcare initiative for communities and partner institutions, designed to provide free medical services and promote greater awareness of personal health and well-being.

More than 100 PDLs aged 50 and above benefited from the activity, receiving full physical checkups, laboratory tests, X-rays, and medical consultations. By bringing essential healthcare services directly to the facility, the AFPFC MPC helped make basic medical attention more accessible to an underserved sector and supported the early identification of health concerns requiring further care.

The medical mission reflects the Cooperative’s broader commitment to extending service beyond financial assistance. Through initiatives such as Kalingang Koop, the AFPFC MPC continues to translate the cooperative principle of concern for community into concrete programs that promote dignity, health, and overall well-being. A related AFPFC MPC-SRPPF medical mission and hygiene-kit distribution was also publicly reported as benefiting PDL participants.
