The AFP Finance Center Multi-Purpose Cooperative (AFPFC MPC) successfully conducted a Financial Planning and Literacy Seminar for 60 Ka May-ari from various units and partner institutions in Cebu City on October 15, 2026, held at the Marco Polo Plaza Cebu, Nivel Hills.

The discussions engaged Ka May-ari to be consistent in saving, purpose-driven in their spending, and borrowing when necessary but responsibly.

Mr. Raychie Lomongo, Executive Director of the Cebu City Government’s City Hospitalization Assistance and Medicines Program (CHAMP), served as the keynote speaker. Anchored on the theme “Maayong pagdumala sa kwarta, mas hayag nga kaugmaon” (Proper handling of finances, brighter future), his talk inspired attendees to cultivate discipline and wisdom in stewardship. The interactive sessions urged members to build consistent saving habits, exercise purpose-driven spending, and practice responsible borrowing only when necessary.

Every seminar is an investment in the financial security of the Ka May-ari of AFPFC MPC.

For the cooperative, educating a Ka May-ari is about honoring their service today while helping them build a secure, worry-free tomorrow for the families who look up to them.
