The AFP Finance Center Multi-Purpose Cooperative (AFPFC MPC) conducted a livelihood seminar on dishwashing liquid and fabric conditioner making for its members on August 12, 2026, at the Garden Orchid Hotel in Zamboanga City. The activity is to equip Kamay-Ari with practical skills that may support additional income opportunities.
89 Kamay-Ari from units in Western Mindanao Command (WMC) and Zamboanga City participated in the seminar, which combined practical training with business-oriented discussions. Participants were guided through the step-by-step preparation and production of dishwashing liquid and fabric conditioner by Ms Annabelle DR Brasileño. This activity allowed them to gain firsthand experience in making the products. An interactive discussion led by Ms. Charity Mae Santander covered basic business practices, including ways to market and sell their finished products.

To help participants apply what they learned, each one received raw materials and packaging supplies sufficient to produce 10 liters each of dishwashing liquid and fabric conditioner. The take-home materials were intended to help members begin exploring the products as a possible alternative source of income and for them to apply their newly acquired skills.
Livelihood seminars are the Cooperative’s means to promote practical learning, and meaningful social development among its members and partner communities.
