The AFP Finance Center Multi-Purpose Cooperative (AFPFC MPC) conducted a Financial Planning and Literacy Seminar for 340 Corrections Officer 1 Trainees (CO1/T) of the Corrections Officer Basic Recruit Course (COBRC) Class 2025-01 “DESENTRADOS” at the New Bilibid Prison Reservation, National Headquarters, Muntinlupa City, on April 10, 2026.

Ms. Imelda Martin-Ramos, CPA, led the session and underscored the importance of financial preparedness. She discussed practical approaches to building and managing an emergency fund, helping participants understand how small, consistent financial habits can secure their long-term stability.

To reinforce the concepts, Mr. Gil Ramos facilitated a hands-on learning activity that guided participants through the initial steps of creating their own emergency fund—turning theory into practice and encouraging real-life application.
These Financial Planning and Literacy Seminars are a testament to the AFPFC MPC’s commitment to empowering the future public servants with the knowledge and confidence to make sound financial decisions.
