AFPFC MPC continues impactful social development initiatives

The AFP Finance Center Multi-Purpose Cooperative (AFPFC MPC) underscored its commitment to lasting community impact through diverse social development initiatives launched in partnership with valued partners throughout May 2025.

Gasa sa Gugma (Cebu City)

On May 11, 2025, the AFPFC MPC Cebu Satellite Office, with the 7th Forward Service Support Unit of the Army Support Command, led an outreach program for the Charity Home for the Dying Destitute in Mabolo, Cebu City.

Gasa sa Gugma - Home for the Dying Destitutes is a charitable facility run by the Missionaries of Charity for the abandoned elderly and sick.

The AFPFC MPC Cebu Satellite Office provided in-kind support for the facility. With the support of the sisters managing the community, home-cooked meals were shared with the seniors staying at the Home.

Capas, Tarlac

In partnership with the Armor (PAMBATO) Division, Philippine Army, AFPFC MPC supported a tree-growing activity in celebration of the 49th Founding Anniversary of the Armor Division on May 15, 2025, at Camp O’Donnell in Capas, Tarlac.

200 fruit-bearing saplings were planted throughout the 1st Tank Battalion Headquarters.

Through the activity, more than 200 assorted fruit-bearing seedlings were planted throughout the grounds of the 1st Tank Battalion (P) Headquarters in Camp O’Donnell.

On May 21, 2025, AFPFC MPC continued its cooperation with the Armor Division to initiate an outreach program for the Indigenous People (IP) community in Sitio Canaan, Barangay Bueno in Capas Tarlac. In the outreach activity, along with other development partners, AFPFC MPC donated a total of 200 hygiene kits to the IP members of the Sitio. 

The donations aim to support the IP members' hygiene and sanitary health.

MGEN PEDRO C BALISI (PA), Armor Division Commander, expressed his gratitude to the outreach partners in driving impact for the IP community. In his message, MGEN BALISI emphasized the aid the donations would bring, saying that the activity would greatly help the day-to-day needs of the upland IP community.

Jamindan, Capiz

The AFPFC MPC Jamindan Satellite Office similarly collaborated with the 1363rd Dental Detachment, Philippine Army to donate hygiene kits to the residents of Barangay Agluluway and Kalikasan Patrol Base in Jamindan, Capiz on May 22, 2025.
